Summer Concert Series 2008 Presented by KINK FM

Thank goodness there’s one more month of music!  Bridgeport’s summer Concert Series continues this August with the hottest bands in the Pacific NW – chosen by Bridgeport Village and KINK FM.  Our summer stage is the only place in Portland where you can hear these local vocals for free, so don’t miss it! 

If you’re over 21, wander into the wine garden for delicious wines from Oak Knoll Winery.   All night, we’ll also be sharing special surprises for everyone from our village restaurants and event sponsors.

August 14 - Aaron Meyer with the Gothard Sisters: Rock concert violinist Aaron Meyer teams with the champion Irish dance trio for this exclusive-to-Bridgeport performance.  Don’t miss the first release of his new CD, “The Journey… not the Destination” at the concert.

August 21 - Jacob Merlin Band: The Jacob Merlin Band mixes classic covers with their own originals in a funky blend of jazzy pop-rock vocals with soulful piano and bass guitar.

August 28 -  Curtis Salgado: A longtime Portland favorite, Curtis Salgado has been a key player in the jazz and blues scene for the past twenty years with his vibrant harmonica skills and dynamic vocals.

When school is out, it can “take a village” to keep kids safe, happy and occupied. Luckily, you don’t have to dish out tons of dough for sleep-away in order to send them to camp! Bridgeport Village and Radio Disney hosts free morning camps every Wednesday through the end of August. Zany and educational activities are great for kids of all kinds, from science buffs to yoga enthusiasts! No registration necessary.
